As resort owners, we have very interesting backgrounds that bring us to this choice of life. From our travels and adventures, we will bring you a wonderful place to enjoy and treat as your home away from home. "Bridges of Whitestone' has been changing over the past year. Unique, cozy and simple, coupled with the simplicity of the natural life to make your stay more comfortable. Our plans are exciting for "Bridges of Whitestone", we are working hard to keep the fine balance between the past and the present.  For those of you, who have been coming here for years, don't worry, we haven't disturbed the history or the comfy cottaging feeling!  Jim and I continue to bring those special little touches into our cottages,  the simple little things that make you smile and feel comfortable when you travel.  Both of us, having traveled extensively, know what makes a place we will return to and share with our friends and family.

Our backgrounds being very diversified and shared by our love of life and nature, our resort is a place we love.. Our love of nature and eco systems are reasons that we have chosen this lifestyle. We fell in love with this incredible natural waterfront property ... first to live here, and that is what makes us the perfect fit for resort ownership and lifestyle. We have great respect for the beauty, artistic preservation and simplicity that this  little place on the water holds. We are proud to be members of the NPPA, National Photographers Professional Association, and we actively take pictures of the wonderful life and habitats that surround us. As professional photographers, our resort is often used for pictures and weddings, and reunions. We invite you to do the same!

'Cyndi,' originates from Burks Falls, and being 'back home' is very exciting. She shares Jim's appreciation of nature, however, isn't as keen on getting her hands dirty, digging worms or grabbing minnows! Cyndi is working on her fishing skills, is now the proud owner of a 'pink' Berkely ugly stick and reel, but is truly happier planning the gourmet cooking of the catch of the day. Cyndi brings a background in the naturalceuticals industry and health and well being. Numerous studies in wellness and living a healthy life style go hand in hand. Nature loving, with a concentration on being a greener society and leaving less of a footprint, Cyndi continues to bring a gentle eco balance and bio responsibility to our resort. Jim, enjoys family on Whitestone and is no stranger to the area. Given his wildlife expertise he is rarely seen indoors rain or shine. A former owner of Northwind Tackle and a pro fisherman, he co-hosted 'Fishing the North' Jim rarely 'looses' a fish, and can generally catch one at any given moment!  Jim manages to blend a fast paced career  as a Technical Advisor with Eutectic Canada, with peace and nature and live the life of the 'Bridges'. Jim is an active participant with the MNR, holding a place on the board and consulting for the betterment of preservation of nature and our environment. Jim is well versed in the balance of man and nature and prides himself on his morals and ethics.
 
With our love for photography and nature, cynjim photography was a  natural. As professional photographers and members of the  NPPA, this beautiful setting is the most amazing palette for any artist.  Our photography brings diversity , high speed racing photos, nature and the quiet and intimate gathering of love, weddings and families .
 
Our son, Landon,  shares our love of nature. His abilities to filet without a fishbone and his advice on where to fish, compliment our resort. Having completed his final year Landon is spending time at the resort, working with us and land at the Schmeler House in Magnetawan this summer until he follows his career path this fall. We are fortunate to have him return once again to work with us before we loose him to University.  Landon loves everything about resort and cottage lifestyle. His pride in the Bridges, a love of family and his creative culinary skills as a chef,  compliment our weekend meet and greets and dockside fish fry's.

Together, the three of us, as well as our family members will bring you a family atmosphere and a memorable holiday!
